Rhodizite


Rhodizite : (K,Cs)Al4Be4(B,Be)12O28

This is a very large and sharp example of this species. The complex LCT type pegmatite it is found in is hosted in metadolomite. It has been worked for gem Tourmaline, spodumene, and beryl back to the early 1900's. The back side of the crystal and one face of the display side are incomplete.
