Locality: Antanetinilapa (Estatoby), Sahatany Valley, Sahatany Pegmatite Field (Mt Bity (Ibity) area), Vakinankaratra Region (Betafo - Antsirabé region), Antananarivo Province, Madagascar
A part of an allanite-(Ce) crystal coated by a brownish alteration layer (probably bastnäsite) and embedded in microcline. The visible part of the crystal measures 3,5 x 1 cm. Found at the dumps in 1996. Photo & collection: Knut Edvard Larsen
