Lawrencite

Lawrencite : (Fe2+,Ni)Cl2

A specimen formerly known as lawrencite, dissolved in its own water of hydration, with opaque oxidized precipates, contained in material oozing from a sample of the Nantan meteorite. I believe Alfredo "collected" this one by attaching the capillary tube to the surface of the meteorite, and drawing out the liquid. 0.25 cm capillary width; "specimen" courtesy of Excalibur Mineral.
