White silky bundles of acicular crystals of Schaurteite with reddish-brown zinican Siderite. Field of view 7 mm—a section of a small cabinet sized example. The Schaurteite forms a seam, up to about 5 mm thick on one surface of a chunk of the Germanite/Renierite ore. The identity of Schuarteite and zincian Siderite was confirmed by microprobe analysis and morphology. Robert Meyer specimen and photo.
