1x1 cm grain of greenish metamict and high-hydrous barian betafite from granitic pegmatite near famous Ermakovskoe beryllium deposit. Empyrical formula of the mineral according to XRF data is (U.31Ba.19Ca.18Pb.04Th.03Y.02Sr.01Dy.01)0.79(Nb.96Ti.86Fe.11Ta.06W.01)2.00(O4.22(OH)2.78)7.00. Radioactivity of the specimen is 850 μR/h. Associating minerals are pinkish microcline and secondary baryte, forming white crystaline films along fissures in betafite. Collected by Anatolii I. Ginzburg in early 70th. Pavel M.
