For a long time this appearance was believed to be the only Belgian zeolite mineral. It was discovered in 1888 on a place between Richelle and Visé by G. Césaro and described as a zeolite in 1942 by J. Mélon. Viséite has never been accepted as a true mineral name but it is often locally referred as a very small light blue to yellowish fragile and loose shell-shaped material.
Image width: 4 mm.
