Locality: Bluebird Kyanite Mine (Vitrefax Mine; Bluebird group; Ogilby Kyanite deposit), Vitrefrax Hill (Bluebird Hill), Obregon, Cargo Muchacho District (Hedges District; Ogilby District), Cargo Muchacho Mts, Imperial Co., California, USA

Etched and hollowed-out almandine crystal about 4 mm across. Photo and specimen: Steve Stuart. It came from a micromount collection I recently purchased.
