Updated Mineral Entry: BurpaliteFrom Uwe Kolitsch, 19th Jun 2013 07:01:17

No paleness at all and very much like the Thomas Range Topaz crystals, although
a little more golden than cinnamon. The faces are glassy and sharp. The termination
is perfect and textbook. There are some very minor crazing lines at the base but none
of those major internal cracks that you almost always see in larger Topaz crystals. The
crystal is completely transparent with just a tiny bit of internal growth. The measurements
of the Topaz are 3.6 cm high by 4.5 cm across by 4.3 cm front to back. It sits atop fine
blades of Albite, alongside two hazy crystals of Quartz. It really is snug there and well
positioned with no repairs whatsoever. The entire specimen measures 6 cm by 10.3 cm.
