Cerite-(La), Ancylite-(Ce)

Locality: Hackman Valley, Yukspor Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

Creamy distorted tabular crystals of cerite-(La) into cavity within pseudomorphose after unknown hexagonal mineral (burbankite group ?) from the type locality. Associated minerals are water-clear natrolite and redish crystaline crusts of ancylite-(Ce). FOV is ~12x10 mm. Authors specimen, cotype. Pavel M. Kartashov collection & photo
