Locality: Butte District (Summit Valley District), Silver Bow Co., Montana, USA

Note: The mineral species Allanite-(Ce) is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

Terminated, mostly euhedral twinned allanite, from a vug or pocket environment; found in association with smoky quartz, microcline, albite, and titanite (up to 5" across). Confirmed by PXRD. Locality south of the Butte district proper. Size 4.0 x 4.0 x 1.2 cm.
