Here is a photo of the road that leads to the Bicroft Mine in Cardiff. On the right of the image would be another gate which also leads to the mine, & to the right of that would be a trail. The mine has been rehabilitated & there is almost no evidence of its prior existence. Beyond the gate you walk by trail for about 50 meters where you will come to a field on the other side of a fence to your right where was the former shaft of the mine located. The shaft is now covered up and all that is left is a metal grate with a vent stack. On the left of the trail you will see a line of dump material from the mine right before a river. This is one of the main indicators of a possible mine in the area, the second indicator is elevated radiation levels.
