Proustite

Locality: Imiter Mine, Imiter District, Djebel Saghro (Jbel Saghro), Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

Stereo pair. The red proustite cluster is about 3 mm wide. The matrix consists mainly of galena and acanthite, with possible minor imiterite (black, metallic) and a small amount of xanthoconite (yellow-brown). Photo and collection, T. Peterson.
