Proustite

Stereo pair, from nearly the same angle as the other pair in this series but with different lighting and background. The red proustite cluster is about 3 mm wide. The matrix consists mainly of galena and acanthite, with possible minor imiterite (black, metallic) and a small amount of xanthoconite (yellow-brown). Photo and collection, T. Peterson.
