Burbankite (Var: Strontioburbankite), Fluorite, Biotite

Locality: N'orkpakhk (Niorkpakhk; Nyorkpukhk; N'Yourpakhk) Mt, Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

Sections of light-yellow strontioburbankite in veinlet of dark-violet fluorite. Associating mineral is black biotite. This burbankite is REE- and Ba-free and has much more lighter colour, than usual REE-bearing burbankites. Specimen size is 3x2.5x1.5 cm. Selfcollected in August of 1998 on dumps of Nyorkpakhk quarry.
