Schalenblende, Sphalerite, Galena

Locality: Cimetiere quarry, Seilles, Andenne, Namur Province, Belgium

Brown Sphalerite crystals covering this large piece of Schalenblende. Galena octahedrons are associated. Massive Calcite has been etched away by acid treatement to reveal the crystallized surface.
The pieces where recovered from a single " walk-in " pocket in 2007.
No specimens are likely to be found as the quarry management allows no collectors anymore.
