Bastnäsite-(Ce)

Locality: Zagi Mountain (Zegi Mountain; "Shinwaro"), Hameed Abad Kafoor Dheri, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North-West Frontier Province), Pakistan

Huge Bastnasite(ce) from the Zagi Mountains, Pakistan. Found in December 2007. This is the largest complete Bastnasite(ce) on matrix ever discovered. The specimen it total measures 190mm x 125mm, but the main crystal is an amazing 36mm x 30mm. This is one of those specimens you just can't stop looking at.
