Proustite, Acanthite

Locality: Imiter Mine, Imiter District, Djebel Saghro (Jbel Saghro), Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

FOV=2 cm. An extremely rich specimen of proustite. The mineralogy of the specimen has not been fully determined but the matrix is dominantly grey acanthite; there is a large cleavage surface of galena at the bottom of the specimen (see photo #2) and some sizeable patches of native silver (see photo #3).
