This is one of my favorite pictures; Pete Ditton took this of me with my camera seconds after removing this fine golden topaz crystal from the pocket. The vug was barely exposed on a huge granite boulder, and yielded several 1-inch golden topaz crystals which fluoresced vividly in long wave ultraviolet light. The day I found this pocket I opened no less than 8 pockets with topaz in them, and Pete found one spectacular vug with fine smoky quartz and golden topazes. The general area was south of Oreamnos Lake, just above Three Lake.
