This photo was taken before any excavation took place; it is on the opposite side of the outcrop pictured next. Note small area above pick that is loose rock in a "crevice" that lead to the pocket. Right after the first material was removed, I found a fine, 1/2 inch flattened rhombehedral phenakite crystal, pale pinkish in color. Although small, this pocket yielded several really fine golden topaz crystals, most of which were reconstructed into a single matrix specimen.
