Rhodochrosite on Manganite. Vasco Trancoso collection. Size: 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.5 cm
This specimen of jet black, crystalline manganite is host to a 1.3 cm spherical mass of crystalline rhodochrosite (sphere habit). There is a small amount of drusy quartz found at the base of the rhodochrosite and a little is on it. Very fine, classic Kuruman specimen with no damage. Ex - Wolfgang Pohl Collection.
