Such nearly black smoky quartz is not uncommon at MSH. (This specimen has been power cleaned.)

Accessory minerals include albite, siderite, rutile, and pyrite. The last two are very small and don't show up clearly at this scale.

This find is well known for gaidonnayite and hilairite BUT I see no evidence of these on this specimen. (Some of the small white blocky xls might possibly be gaidonnayite after harsh cleaning. But there is no fluorescence so I doubt it.)
