Triplite, Rhodochrosite

Locality: Kholtoson Mine, Dzhida W-Mo District, Zakamensk, Dzhida Basin, Buriatia (Buryatia) Republic, Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Large monograin of salmon-pink, very fresh and Fe-free triplite with inclusions of bright-pink rhodochrosite in quartz vein with sulphides. Specimen size is 5x3x2.5 cm. Collected by M.M. Povilaitis in early 60th in block #42 of vein #3a of the deposit. Pavel M. Kartashov collection (#0046) and photo.
