Fluorite, Calcite, Pyrite

Locality: Dalen-Kjørholt Mine, Kjørholt, Brevik, Porsgrunn, Telemark, Norway

Fluorite is not common in the Dalen-Kjorholt Mine so this botryoidal specimen with calcite and a dusting of micro pyrite is a rare prize. This was found in the Kjorholt synk in 2003 and measures 6.5 x 4.3 x 4 cm. Photographed by and in the collection of Bill Morgenstern.
