I have shot this very large, superb arsenopyrite compound crystal from slightly different angles to try to capture the fantastic stepped reflections of the crystal that are evident from the display face. It has a stacked structure that is graduated towards the back to perfectly show off the dazzling luster of the faces. The termination is absolutely superb, with each small section of the compound crystal having its own mirror-like face on top, massed together in a stepped pattern with triangular forms. The piece is just about complete all around, with just some minor contact areas on the backside! A showy piece but, more than that, of extremely large size for a Chinese arsenopyrite crystal. The fact that there is a fair supply of cheap arsenos coming out of China does not diminish the desirability of super ones such as this at all. 7.5 x 6.5 x 5 cm
