Magnetite


Magnetite : Fe2+Fe3+2O4

Locality: Scrub Oak Mine (Replogle Mine), Mine Hill Borough, Morris Co., New Jersey, USA
A 4"x4"x3" piece of a pegmatitic granite interspersed with grains of magnetite.
There was small vug (2mm) with a white coating which fluoresced a bluish cream color.
