Aegirine, Quartz (Var: Amethyst)

Locality: Brushy Mountain, No Agua District, Taos Co., New Mexico, USA

Slender orange-brown aegirine associated with amethystine quartz. Photo is about 2.1 mm in length. Specimen obtained at the November 2006 Cleveland Micromounter's Symposium. Photo and specimen: Steve Stuart.
