This is a 3'x2" piece of a pegmatite collected by Fred Schuster in the same rock excavated from the same large road cut on Route 155. The pegmatites contained pink feldspar, gray quartz and these black semimetalic lath shaped crystals. I think they are allanite, but need further analysis.
