Microcline (Var: Amazonite), Albite

Locality: Ploskaya Mt, Western Keivy Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

9x5x6.5 cm chunk of commodity amazonite from Ploskogorskoe deposit. Typical for pegmatitic K-feldspars perthite structure is well visible. White albite pertites grow within marine-green amazonite monograin with very attractive image formation. Collected in 1992. Pavel M. Kartashov photo.
