Locality: Burnet, Burnet Co., Texas, USA

Note: The mineral species Gadolinite is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

A ~20cm xl of Gadolinite. From the collections of the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences, #17513, from the William Vaux collection. This specimen was one of a number of Vaux pieces (accession s between 10000 and roughly 18300) that were inadvertantly sold along with the rest of the Academy's collections. It has been returned to the Academy and now resides there again with the rest of the Vaux collection.
