Analcime

Locality: Ljosa, Eysturoy island, Faroe Islands (Faeroe Islands; Faeroes; Faroes), Denmark

This shows the effect of only slight changes of light sources to the picture. 8 (eight !) individual 20 W halogen reflector lamps (10 ° beam angel) have been used. Each light was individually adjusted by doing sample shots. Camera: Canon EOS350 D with EF-S60 mm F/2,8 Macro USM in manual mode and manual focusing at 1/100 sec at f13. This crystal was mounted (with silicon-putty) on clear plastic boxes in order to illuminate from angels below the focus-plane.
