Aquamarine crystals in situ

A photo taken of a granite outcrop with pegmatitic surface exposed and several gemmy blue aquamarine crystals. This was on the upper surface of a roche montonee that had a nice vug on the trailing edge of the outcrop that yielded numerous specimens of bertrandite. I collected one small but exceptional aquamarine crystal from a small vug exposed on this outcrop. Photo taken in 1987 in the Devil's Den.
