This view is taken looking roughly south into the upper boulder/talus field of the Devil's Den. This is a huge cirque headwall surrounded on three sides by nearly vertical granite cliffs. The boulder field is 1-1/2 mile across and 1 mile deep of unbroken granite talus. Some of these monoliths are the size of a small house, and several held large pockets, with smoky quartz, helvite, topaz, and other granite druse minerals. This area has yet to be searched thoroughly, although I have made several trips here and have spent a good deal of time hunting in the area.
