Left: unaltered ilmenite crystals to 13 mm, center: altered crystals to grey mixture (hematite, rutile, anatase), lower mid-right: small crystals with 'leucoxene' replacement. These tan crystals are mostly composed of anatase and rutile. See other photo for a close-up of these crystals. Prep: Calcite removed with HCl.
