Specimen of Jet Black Anthracite coal I collected in 1980 near the old breaker at the Cameron Colliery, Shamokin, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania, prior to its scheduled demolition. Anthracite from the Shamokin area is a semi anthracite, which lent itself to greater usability in the earlier days of the coal fuel industy in Pennsylvania. Specimen size: 9 x 6.5cm.
