Locality: Poudrette quarry (Demix quarry; Uni-Mix quarry; Desourdy quarry), Mont Saint-Hilaire, Rouville RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
A nice sheaf of elongated sérandite crystals, 11 cm long, studded with perfect rhombs of rhodochrosite. The black material appears to be the oxidized remnants of another carbonate, possibly siderite. Collection and photo, T. Peterson (single-frame image).
