New Locality Added: Nonnersdorf, Maria Laach am Jauerling, Waldviertel, Lower Austria, AustriaFrom Peter Neschen, 25th May 2013 10:19:45

The garnets from the primary pegmatites in the general Evje/Iveland area are all of intermediate composition between almandine and spessartine, often with some Y2O3. Most of then have Mn>Fe and can be called spessartine. At the Steli quarry the almandine component has been dominant in the analysed samples.
