Iron Springs Mining

Locality: Iron Springs Arch Orebody, Granite Mountain, Iron Springs District (Iron and Granite Mountains & Three Peaks), Iron Co., Utah, USA

Undated photograph circa 1945-ish.

This is the Columbia Steel Co. at Iron Springs (Iron Mountain) near Cedar City, Utah. The ore was hauled from the mine by rail to Provo so it could be processed at the Geneva Steel Plant. The dump truck in the photo is a 25 ton truck.
