Locality: Fishtown of Usan, Usan, Montrose, Tayside (Angus), Scotland, UK

Note: The mineral species Sardonyx is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

This specimen was collected by me from rough shingle between Fishtown of Usan and the Elephant Rock. It is typical in pattern,colour and size of a type of agate found in a localized agate here. This specimen has been cut and polished and shows a slightly different pattern in each half. The specimen measures 4.5cm x 4.0cm x2.5cm.
