Block broken through a pegmatite

Locality: A/S Granit Quarry, Tuften (Tuften 1 Quarry; Tuften 2 Quarry), Tvedalen, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway

When the large blocs of Larvikite are pulled down they usualy break along pegmatites, like this on. In this pegmatite it was found aegirine, nepheline and wulfenite crystals. Photo taken 17. September 2009, by Peter Andresen. Hammer for scale.
