Albite, Amphibole Supergroup (Var: Byssolite), Hematite

Locality: Le Queyron, Saint-Véran, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

A beautiful, specimen of lustrous, translucent to transparent white albite crystals to 12mm. There is also pale green fibrous byssolite and minor hematite in the form of small round groups made up of bladed crystals. specimen size is 85mm x 75mm x 30mm. P. Nicholson collection and photo.
