A very nice large slab of a variscite nodule that exhibits quite a bit of charm on both sides. Yellow patterned and banded crandallite forms the rim of the nodule. A real star of this piece are the numerous nicely gray to white banded wardite and millisite bull’s-eyes of up to 7 mm that occupy the inner rim of the nodule and most especially, the veinlets that transverse the variscite. On the micro level, there are a number of small pockets that have micro-crystals of transparent colorless prismatic carbonate-apatite, and one tiny vug with bladed crystals that could be Gordonite. 14.2 x 10.2 x 1 (thick) cm.
