Tyuyamunite

Locality: Marie Mine, Pryor Mountains, Carbon Co., Montana, USA

The delicate orthorhombic tyuyamunite crystals are each just under 1.0 mm in their longest dimension. Their morphology ranges from stacks of relatively flat scale-like growths, interpenetrating scales, and crystals which exhibit a hopper-like growth habit.
