Orpiment

Locality: Osorezan, Mutsu City, Shimokita peninsula, Aomori Prefecture, Tohoku Region, Honshu Island, Japan

Orpiment from the Osorezan volcano. Center consist of small (<1mm) spheres and a middle zone with almost "cryptocristalline" material and in the outer one can see the normal orpiment blades. Received in exchange with Hiromi Yamasaki (thanks), coll & photo AÖ 2010.
