A wonderful long tapering grouping of glassy terminated partly gemmy barite crystals measuring 10.0 x 2.4 x 2.4 cm. The crystals show good transparency near the terminations. Complete all around as seen in the photos. Only with a 10x loupe can find tiny insignificant chipping near the termination on the back side of the specimen. To my naked eye this is completely damage-free. An excllent British classic! Ex Lloyd Tate collection. Ref: Symes & Young, Minerals of Northern England (2008).
