Vesuvianite, Grossular

Locality: Eg (Eeg), Kristiansand, Vest-Agder, Norway

Vesuvianite crystal partly replaced by grossular. This and the similar specimens has been found when vesuvianite are exposed to the marble in the transition zone between skarn and marble. The crystal is just over 2 cm tall.
