6.3 x 4.8 x 2.4 cm. A superb specimen from any species, let alone something as generally rusty-looking and un-trophy-worthy as goethite tends to be. I was mesmerized when I saw this in an old collection in Germany. It is so elegantly formed in both form and color, so elegant in its filigreed complexity that it blew me away. It is a great rock, even if of a prosaic species. I have seen others from this locality (a famous hematite mine), but nothing like this.
