Locality: Green's Farm locality (Roxbury garnet mine; Roxbury Falls garnet mine; Garnet Hill), Roxbury, Litchfield Co., Connecticut, USA

Large plate of dark red almandine garnet crystals to 17 mm on edge in silvery schist matrix with minor staurolite crystals to 6 mm long. Overall size of mineral specimen: 12x7x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-17 mm.
