Magnetite

Locality: Jebel Bou-Agrao, Tamazeght complex, High Atlas Mtn, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco

6.2 x 3.8 x 2.4 cm. Splendent, sharp magnetite crystals richly and attractively cover matrix on this very showy and excellent specimen from recent finds in Morocco. The textbook octahedrons reach 1.1 cm and the crystals are in fine shape, overall, with just a bit of periphery wear. The octahedra really flash, when you rotate the piece in light. Ex.
