Locality: Franklin Mine, Franklin, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA

Thin plate of basalt matrix covered on front and back with transparent, colorless, scalenohedral calcite crystals up to 14 mm. Scattered between the calcites are several irregular blebs of native copper. The copper is NOT included within the calcite. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4.5x2 cm. Size of individual crystals: 4-14 mm.
