This superb miniature really stands out amongst others I have seen, even back in the heyday of these mines. The crystals are large, lustrous, and translucent. they have the best rich golden hue you can ask for from the locality. Importantly, they are perched perfectly on matrix of sharp, cubic, purple fluorite! It is a gorgeous specimen and a rare competition-quality barite from a district not known for such fine examples of the species on a common basis 4.7 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm
